Changing times.... towards a more collaborative environment

by Tim Clifford on Saturday, 05 November 2011

We have been live now a few months and our page views have increased significantly. The phone does not stop and it takes me a few hours every week to tackle my inbox. Im really excited at the interest it is generating and especially the fact that it is facilitiing communication and collaboration in the industry.

Slowly but surely people are getting braver and are now beginning to actively participate on the forums and blogs. This is really what Site Assessor.com is all about in fact - i really would like to see it as a forum for discussion between all the stakeholders in the industry, so i actively ask, appeal and coax you to jump on if you want to open a discussion topic.

To entice people to get onboard and join in the discussion you might have seen that there was 30% off our recent ZDWS seminar in cork for those that were active on the site.

We have decided to extend this sort of system to the site in general as it seemed to work rather well. Below are two measures that will definietly benefit our members :

      • In the expert pages (which is now generating alot of enquiries and business for certain siteassessor's and professionals) we have decided to order people by thier participation on the site. For example the more genuine messages you leave on the forums and blogs the higher on the list you will be. Obviously the people higher on the list are contacted more by people looking for a siteassessor or professional. I think its perhaps good practice that those that help others out on the SiteAssessor community reap some benefits.
      • Our future seminars and events will also have big reductions for active members.
