A special sitting of the Dáil this morning is in disarray in a row over new legislation governing septic tanks.

TDs were sitting to discuss a Fianna Fáil bill on local authority administration.

But the Deputy Leader of the party – Eamon O’Cuiv – attempted to raise what he called ‘the guillotine’ planned for next week to push through new legislation covering septic tanks.

That led to one suspension of the Dáil.

But after resuming other deputies including Mattie McGrath, Timmy Dooley and Michael Healy-Rae led to another suspension.
