About Sand EPA Cop

All our sand is manufactured to meet the criteria as setout in the EPA Cop "TABLE 10.2. CRITERIA FOR SAND-POLISHING FILTER."

Pretreatment Minimum of secondary treatment

A) Top coarse sand layer1 Effective size (D10) 0.25–0.75 (mm);
D60/D10 (Cu) < 4

B) Fine sand layers Effective size (D10) 0.15–0.25 (mm);
D60/D10 (Cu) < 4

The sand is fully certified and each manufactured batch (approx 10 ton) is supplied with a certificate of conformity. For those with of an inquisitive nature we even have different graded sieves that you can pass post manufactured sand through to see for yourself.
